The parts of speech

Each word is one of the speech or the other. The part of speech is eight in number.

1. The noun

A noun is a word used to name a person, place, thing or idea.
Example: child, Qadeer (name), city, square, car, radium, fairy, struggle, honesty, achievement.
The strange comes from Abadan. A stage in rags is better tan a fool in robes.

2. The pronoun:

A pronoun is the word which is used in the place of a noun.
Example: I, my, me, we, our, he, she, it, etc.

3. The adjective and determiner:
An adjective is a word used to describe or add to the meaning of a noun or a pronoun.
Example: great, small, beautiful, weak, upper, lower, strong, better.
He is our great leader.
We are his strongest supporters.
A determiner is a word used before a noun to show what it refers to.
Example: my shirt, wining party, which book, what college, many students, every person.

4. The preposition:

A preposition is a word that shows the connection of a noun or pronoun with another word.
Example: on, in, under, above, toward
She has confidence in me. The society can move toward better destinations.

5. The verb:

A verb is a word that says something about a person, place, or thing
Example: sit, jump, is fail, rise, think, climb, decide.
Does she always help you?
Climb up the heights or fall into the depth, but don’t sit still.

6. The conjunction

A conjunction is a word that joins words or sentences.
Example: and, or, but, through, yet, So either, neither, nor.
Rise or you will fall.
I helped the sick man though I was very tired.

7. The adverb or modifier:

An adverb is a word that adds to the meaning of adverb, adjective or another adverb or any part of speech except a noun or pronoun.
Example: quickly, honestly, fast, quite, dramatically, critically.
The returned home quickly. They work honestly and fast.
An adverbial is a word, phrase, clause that function like an adverb.

8. The interjection or exclamation:

An interjection is a word or sound that shows feeling or emotion.
Example: Ah! Alas! Oh! Hurrah! Pooh!
Ah! It is the same boo I needed.
What a fine plan indeed!
Alas! Our great leader is dead.
Hurrah! We win the match.
